BHBR 2022/23 Champion of Champions – Brenton Coad takes out the Men’s title

Janet Norman and Brenton Coad represented Victoria Bowling Club in the BHBR 2022/23 Champion of Champions, with Brenton Coad going all the way to claim the Men’s title after dominant displays throughout his games.

With a majority of the games played at Kyneton Bowling club, unfortunately for Janet, Lynette Lock from Midlands Golf was too strong in her round one match.

On his run to taking out the title, Brenton accounted for Greg Plier from Midlands Gold 25 -4 in round one, Aaron Young from Lancefield (25-17) in round two.

Surprisingly, a forfeit saw him move straight through to the Semi Finals and a change of venue to Smeaton Bowling Club where Coady had a close victory over the always difficult to beat, Ben McArthur from Webbcona (25-20).

The final saw a Brenton get off to a great start against Chris McDonald from Mt Xavier, but to be expected, Macca fought back hard, before Brenton’s class showed out and he powered home to a 25-15 win.
