2022 – 2023 saw Victoria Bowling Club bring home two pennants – Saturday Divisions One and Five – and make finals in Saturday Division Four (Grand Final) and Division Seven (Semi Final) and Tuesday Division One, Three and Four making finals, with Division Three going down narrowly in the Grand Final.

2021 – 2022 was another incredibly successful season for Victoria Bowling Club. While unfortunately we didn’t bring home any pennants this season in either Tuesday or Saturday pennant, we managed to make finals in most of the divisions we performed in. Tuesday pennant saw Premier Division, Division Two (Grand Finalists) and Division Four make finals. In Saturday pennant, Premier Division finished second, securing the double chance, however, they were knocked out in the Preliminary final. Divisions One, Three, Four and Six all performed well to finish in the top 4. Special mention to Division Three on reaching the Grand Final, only to go down to a very strong side from Ballan.

Congratulations must go to our first year bowlers, who put a lot of hard work and practice in over the season, meaning their games came along in leaps and bounds. It was also a difficult year for filling sides due to COVID protocols and forced isolation. Many thanks to those who stepped in and helped to fill sides when we had a number of players out. We also welcomed a number of new bowlers to the club. It is great to see that we continue to offer an attractive destination for established bowlers.

2020-2021 was a pennant season unlike any we had experienced before. The COVID pandemic saw many changes, including a shortened season (14 games), a shortened game format (21 ends rather than the traditional 25 and with games completed without an afternoon tea break) and no promotion / relegation system.

Considering the successes of the previous season in both Weekend and Tuesday pennant, the sides that moved up held their own and we had another stellar season. Weekend Pennant saw our Premier taking out the top prize, while Division 4 fought hard to make finals. Sensational results were recorded for Tuesday Pennant with both Division 1 and Division 4 getting over the line. These successes are testament to the hard work of all members to get out and practice, as well as the selectors for continuing to find the right balance across our sides.

The Victoria Bowling Club Inc enjoyed a successful and enjoyable 2019-2020 pennant bowls season. From the six Saturday Pennant teams entered in the Ballarat and District Bowls Division, four made the Grand Final and three won the Premiership. Whilst, we entered three in the Monday competition, two reached the grand final and one team won the Premiership.

We are seeking new members, both ladies and men to join our club to play bowls either socially or pennant or to be a social member.
