A successful 2024/25 Pennant season for Victoria Bowling Club

There is no doubting it was an incredibly successful season for Victoria Bowling club with 5 of the 8 Saturday Pennant sides playing finals, with Divisions 1, 7 and 8 finishing on top after the home and away fixture and Divisions 2 and 4 finishing 2nd, earning all sides the double chance. Midweek Pennant saw our Divisions 1, 3 and 4 see finals actions with Divisions 3 and 4 finishing the home and away fixture in second place.

Of our Saturday sides, it was incredibly pleasing to secure premierships in Divisions 1 and 4, meaning that we are in the strong position next season having sides in the top 3 divisions. Unfortunately, Division 2 and 8 fell just short of ultimate success, but considering both sides came up against clubs fielding their highest divisions, it was always going to be a tough challenge.

Against the dominant side in the Midweek competition, City Oval, the Big V was able to fight out a 6 shot victory in the grand final. Unfortunately, Divisions 3 and 4 fell just short of grand final appearances.
